Hi friends,
This week is going to be a crazy one, but in the best way possible! Between fun DIY projects, a little self-care, and getting some much-needed help around the house, there's a lot going on; let’s chat it out!
A Clean Start with Maid 4 U HRM
So thankful that the amazing team from Maid 4 U HRM is coming to clean the house this week. If you've ever had a professional cleaning service, you know the feeling — like they say ‘You do the living, we’ll do the cleaning’ and boy, we have been LIVING.
I’ve always said that I want the kids to feel like this is ‘OUR’ home. It’s not my home or a place that has an end date for them, it’s our home, their home, forever, if they want it to be. So we live hard here, lots of friends, fun and messes, which is nice.. but Nick and I both being oldest children and liking things orderly lol have a hard time keeping up with everything and that’s where Maid 4U helps out.
We look forward to the start of every month when they come by and freshen up the place for us.
Baby Shower Power!
My sister's baby shower is coming up, and l've been knee-deep in all the adorable decorations. Unfortunately, my problem is not having to DIY..it’s choosing the DIY’s. I end up looking on Cricut, Pinterest, Reels, Google and finding too many things that I want to do!
I can’t reveal everything since it’s a surprise but I can confirm I am knee deep in hearts, pink, and cuteness.

The nice thing about this is that it aligns with a school PTO event that’s also happening so I am hoping most of the items will serve up double duty since the theme are pretty much the same- love and hearts.
This type of back to back event, is exactly why I invested in a
Photo Backdrop stand last year, on sale for about $50 and it comes in handy for every event and party. It’s not the most solid backdrop on the market but its got the job done for at least half a dozen+ events so far.
On top of that I’m working on our 20th High School Reunion and getting these hats bedazzled for an upcoming Dance Performance.
A Little Self-Care
I am sneaking some self care in there with a visit to see Sara at Smooth Seas Laser today.
My skin is about to get some much-needed photo facial love! If you're not familiar, a photo facial uses light therapy to rejuvenate the skin, reduce redness, and even out complexion-it's like a reset button for your face!
I will have more coming on the specifics but for now: this is my 3rd
photo facial session with Sara and I have noticed a HUGE difference in my skin!
I was seemly going through the late 30’s acne era, break outs, chin hairs, more redness. Since getting some love from Smooth Seas there is a massive change in my skin, no breakouts, drastically reduced redness, plus pore reduction and less fine lines.
A photo facial treatment has a little bit more down time depending on your skin (reach out to Sara for a consult!) but it’s so worth it!
Here are some of my highlight photos:
The top row Day 1 & 2 after my second Photo Facial
I was a bit swollen and bruised but I had some serious redness beforehand so I told Sara to do her worst haha
The bottom photos, 5 days after my 2nd photo facial and this week, playing with makeup!! My skin has been so clear and glowy.
What I'm Watching & Reading
Somehow, I'm squeezing in a little entertainment, too!
-
I just watched a Will Ferrell and Reese
Witherspoon movie, which was exactly the kind of lighthearted, goofy comedy I needed. I can see it not being everyone’s cup of tea because its a little wacko but I enjoyed it for an easy watch, especially after watching the OJ Netflix Documentary and some other heavy things that have been out recently.

Some others to watch, series with more than one season:
XOXO Kitty &
The Night Agent is back with season 2!!
I’ve been reading like crazy and that deserves its own Blog Post because there’s just too much to go through!
What I’m listening to right now -
I NEVER read reviews or even know what books are about before I put them on my TBR list lol
I just save a bunch of titles, usually from social media suggestions and when they become available at the library or on the Libby app I drive in!
This one however.. Someone recommended it and it wasn’t available on Libby so I got it through the Audible App. Did you know if you have Amazon Music you get 1 free Audible Credit a month???
I received an email this week revealing that info and I am kicking myself that I wasn’t aware until now!!
I choose this one on Audible since it wasn’t available on Libby and so far I LOVE how different the story and writing style is compared to some of ones I’ve been reading lately. I’ve been in a big Sarah Adam’s, Jenny Holiday, Lucy Parker (etc) kick, which is fine but it can get repetitive feeling when you’re reading the same author over and over.
This book was a nice change of pace however, some things to note about this one-
Spice is HIGH. It’s a 4/5 for sure.
Storyline is good but a slow unveiling.
& since I went in not knowing anything, I am honestly wondering if it is going to be a supernatural thing.. vampire, werewolf, etc.. I am a child of the Twi-hard years and I often think things are going to have a vampire in them.. lololol but I am 99% sure this isn’t one of those books! Hahaha
Until the next one take some time to enjoy your LIFE-style! Xo
